Book Review – Apples for Teacher

Apples For Teacher (A Student Teacher Romance) by Alexandrinha Abbott

This is a fairly short romance book which would appeal to young adults. The eighteen year old narrator falls for an older guy who saves her from a swimming accident. However, when he finds out her age he drops her like a stone. To her horror, back at school she discovers he is her new algebra teacher. Ignored by the love of her life she is drawn into an abusive relationship with a class mate. Will she manage a happy ending with her true love?
I enjoyed this as a simple read with a good story line. I felt the writing style let it down as it was mostly dialogue and the author used a lot of hackneyed phrases. Still worth a read for young romance lovers.
